Amanda Schwartz, PhD
Licensed Psychologist | AK Psychology Group | Mount Kisco, NY
Amanda Schwartz is a licensed psychologist with a focus on children, adolescents, and mothers navigating the transition to parenthood. She works with families in Westchester County and surrounding areas, providing a warm, collaborative approach to some of the most common and most challenging experiences of growing up and becoming a parent.
Amanda is one of a small number of SPACE-certified providers in Westchester. SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is an evidence-based treatment that works with parents rather than directly with the child, teaching parents how to respond to anxiety in ways that reduce it rather than inadvertently reinforce it. For many families with anxious children, SPACE is a highly effective first step.
She also has specialized training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International, supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the emotional complexity of early motherhood.

Amanda earned her PhD in School Psychology from Fordham University and her BA with Highest Honors from Emory University. She is a SPACE-certified provider and has completed perinatal mental health training through Postpartum Support International. She is licensed in New York State.
