Who We Are
AK Psychology Group offers trauma-informed, integrative psychotherapy with an emphasis on:
- Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy
- Deep relational work across the lifespan
- Child, adolescent, and parent-focused interventions
- Integrating neuroscience and depth psychology
We serve clients at our Union Square and Westchester offices in safe, in-person therapeutic settings.
What We Look For
We are seeking practitioners who are:
- Clinically experienced and independently licensed in New York State (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMHC, MD, NP)
- Curious, open-hearted, and attuned to the nuances of deep emotional work
- Skilled in working with complex trauma, relational challenges, mood disorders, or child and adolescent mental health
- Trained or interested in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy (MAPS, Fluence, or related programs)
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Committed to lifelong learning and cultural humility
We also welcome certified psychedelic sitters who:
- Have completed training in harm reduction and therapeutic support
- Bring grounded presence, humility, and a strong ethical framework
- Are experienced in providing safe, supportive space for inner work
Bonus if you bring:
- Multicultural perspectives
- Backgrounds in somatic, psychodynamic, or contemplative traditions
- Experience supervising or mentoring other clinicians
